005 | Accidental Video
[Something curious has appeared on the Network this morning. There's no visual whatsoever, just blackness, but it is a video, strangely enough. The only thing that seems to be coming through is audio in the form of muffled shuffling followed by a barrage of rapid clicking every now and then. It'll stop for a while before starting up again, sometimes louder when the source gets closer to the Gear. The video continues rolling for what feels like an age, occasional noises unceasing.
Almost twenty minutes after the odd noises started up, a visual starts to emerge...sortof. A light can be seen that slowly starts to illuminate wherever the Gear in question happens to be, and after a moment it's clear that it's inside a bag. ...and whatever scuttled in and accidentally turned it on is still in the bag. Said bag is being lifted and jostled around, which causes the clicking to start up again, quickly joined by some very harsh hissing that doesn't sound happy at all.
The light grows brighter as the bag is opened, causing the Pokemon inside to recoil and hiss even louder, knocking against the Gear as it moves. All that can be said is that it's a bug of some sort, its hard shell a deep purple in the darkness of the bag. It recoils even further as a hand from above can be seen reaching in...and once it gets close enough, the Pokemon strikes hard and fast.
There's a sharp cry of surprise and pain and the bag is abruptly dropped, spilling out half its contents and the Gear along with it. From the ground, the video now shows Kaneki clasping his left hand with his right, holding it tight to his chest while his Zangoose just stands next to his ankle and stares at the bag, dumbfounded. A second later the hissing and clicking intensifies as a tiny Skorupi scuttles past, tail arched high over its back in anger and defiance. THIS IS HIS HOUSE. DO YOU WANNA GO.
...apparently, yes, because it takes about a second for everything to go straight to hell as soon as the Pokemon reveals itself, Rikki diving at the thing like a linebacker with a hiss rivaling its own. Her momentum is enough to knock the Gear away again with enough force to finally turn the feed back off, but not before giving a wild shot of the sky coupled with the hissing and shrieking of the Pokemon fighting one another.]

video;
I think so...I didn't realize my Gear started recording. Sorry about that.
video;
Your Skorupi must have felt pretty comfy in there...
video;
[He frowns, turning his hand over.]
That Pokemon doesn't belong to me. I didn't even know it was in my bag...

video;
Although I guess you shouldn't leave any of your stuff unattended when you're traveling in the middle of nowhere.
video;
Well, I'm not really that far from town. I can see the buildings from where I'm sitting, actually.
[...speaking of buildings, he's probably going to have to go to the Center after this because wow if his hand isn't starting to ache.]
But...y-yeah, you're probably right. ...the only problem is that...Rikki chased it back into my bag.
...so now I can't get it back out.
video;
[Kirikou it's not that simple, child pls]
video;
...I don't think it's that easy.
video;
video;
Well...I have Rikki here- [He glances down at the Zangoose still lying next to him, who glares up at the camera and at Kirikou by extension.] -a Kadabra, Smeargle, Sneasel, Pidgeotto, and Yanma.
video;
What's that? What's the Pokemon you're up against right now?
[A pause.]
Oh, hi, Kaneki.
video;
[Oh, well, this is a surprise.]
It's a, uh...Skorupi, I think he said.
video;
[Y'know just, casually get that out of the way.]
You can use Lee or Carrie against a Skorupi, though Rikki would probably be all too happy to beat it up herself. Normal types do normal damage against Bug/Poison types.
video;
I'll probably have to let Lee out, then...as I was telling...Kirikou-san?
...Rikki chased it into my bag again.
video;
[#America.]
Someone's going to have to flip over the bag to get it out again. Lee can probably do that, birds should be good at getting bugs.
video;
[Yeah, he'll be letting Lee do that. He's had enough of being on the wrong end of a stinger for today.]
...by the way...can Pokemon...poison people the same way they do other Pokemon?
[This is kindof important also his hand is throbbing.]
video;
[Oh geez, Kaneki, can she just not leave you alone for a second??]
I try to avoid that, but...you should probably get yourself to a doctor, I don't think Antidote will work on people.
video;
I didn't think so...I'm not far from town, at least...
I'll head back as soon as possible.
