[A video starts showing what appears to be the outside space of a café. It's early enough that it isn't too crowded, which is what Kaneki was looking for before actually making this video. He could have gone to the park instead, but where he was now was a lot closer to the Pokemon Center...which he felt he needed to be near for the moment. While it isn't unusual at all for people to have their Pokémon outside of their balls and with them most of the time, he hasn't quite gotten used to it. Namely, he feels it might be a little inappropriate to have such a large bug out where people might be eating.

That large bug in question is flitting near his shoulder; up, down, left, right, and back again. Every now and then it tries to land on Kaneki's shoulder before taking to the air again, a little to large to actually settle there comfortably.]

I caught this Pokémon a few days ago on one of the routes here. My Zangoose injured him pretty badly, so I took him to the Pokémon Center right away. Everything seemed fine after that.

[He looks over to the Yanma, his expression growing worried as the bug tilts his head this way and that, wings a blur as he hovers.]

But...something's wrong. One of the eyes, the right...it's duller than the other. I'm not...sure if he can see out of it. And I know for a fact that Rikki didn't strike him in the face...at- at least not where I could see. I don't know if this could have happened when she fought him, or if it was already there.

Is it...normal to find wild Pokémon like this? I don't know if I should take him back to the Pokémon Center or not, now that I'm noticing it. He doesn't seem to be in pain, but...I'm worried.

Me? Ah, well, I was in college back home, actually. I was studying Japanese Literature. I was working as a barista at a cafe, too.

Oh, I see. It's interesting...there don't really seem to be schools around in this place, do there?

I haven't seen one... don't kids here go to school? I guess if we're not losing time in our worlds, I don't have to worry about missing exams.

I don't know, honestly. It doesn't seem that way...kids are expected to start training Pokemon well before they would have even reached middle school.

What? Their parents let them? But some of these Pokémon could kill and eat kids!

I think they all start with a Pokemon of their own, though. Like how we all showed up with one. So it's there to protect them.

...that...doesn't really make it any better, though.

But what if they wind up with a coward? Then they might both die! These parents are really irresponsible.

[She's one to talk. She has put her life in danger a lot, and her mother would freak if she found out.]

Things just...seem to work differently here, I guess. I think if there really was a problem with it, the parents wouldn't be sending their children out like that.

A-ah...I don't know if I would say that. That woman is the only person I've met who is like she is, anyway.

Really? Well... I guess the other people seem nice, like at the Inn's.

Mhm, that's right. Though I haven't really met very many people here that are natives, other than the nurses at the Pokemon Centers. But they seem very nice.

The Nurse Joy in Cherrygrove was super nice, and she let me work there for a few days.

Really? I worked here at the Center in Goldenrod for a week or so, but I...don't think I was very good at it. It was a good job, but...just not for me.

All I got to do was some paperwork, and checking Pokémon in and out. It wasn't very hard, but it was fun talking to everyone!

Mine was similar to that; book keeping, mostly. I think I've gotten used to being a barista, though, so I'm going to see if I can try to find a job somewhere like that.

Being a barista sounds like fun! But I think I'd get too caught up in talking with all the cute customers~

It's a good job. And you do get a chance to meet a lot of new people.

[Though in Kaneki's case you have to be extra careful of the cute ones. The cute ones are trouble.]

[Since he arrived, Kaneki has been finding more and more people- genuinely nice people, or so they seem- wanting to meet with him. After how things had been back home, it's....nice.]
