[It'd be hard for him to have lived here as long as he has and not know about Ratatta. They seem to be a pretty common Pokemon, all things considered. Before he caught Peter, he'd considered trying to catch one himself, since they seemed like they'd be the easier option. But he'd just never gotten around to it.
Now, seeing one up close like this, he can see just how small Ratatta are. He can't help but smile a bit more as he replies.]
That's very thoughtful of you, Molly-san. I would love to take care of her.
[And she gives him a super bright smile, clearly happy she made the right choice and that he appreciates the gift. She starts talking a little faster as a result.]
Okay!
I didn't name her or anything, so you can do that. I can send her to you tomorrow if you want.
It's really cool! It's so big, and the zones are really pretty. I caught a Ponyta and a Deerling and this cotton thing I hadn't heard about before ... it just kinda blew around my head for a while, it was so weird, but it's pretty cute.
That's a good name. I usually try to name my Pokemon after works of fiction, or characters in literature...authors, and things like that. I'm hoping I'll be able to think of something for my Ratatta, too.
I'm actually working as a barista right now in a coffee shop, back home...it's not a book store too like the one in Goldenrod, but it would be nice if it was.

And she was just kinda quiet and reminded me of Hide a little bit. So I thought maybe she'd like you guys.

What did you name yours? I haven't come up with something for mine yet.
I named mine...Bambi.
[He's almost embarrassed, admitting that.]
That's a bit obvious though, isn't it?
That's okay. I have a Linoone and his name is Meeko.

[He'd almost go with Stuart, if she was a male.]

I read all the time. Back home, I was going to school studying Japanese Literature. It's just fascinating to me.
